Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Born in Worthington Ohio she quit high school in order to relocate in Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. In 2001, despite her financial struggles, she was able get her first significant role in the online video show Rachel's Room as the principal character. In 2002, she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford was the main actress on Lost for its first two seasons. In 2004, she won the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Grace left the television series in 2005 to focus on an even more prominent role in movies, and had a role alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. The role she played was Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) as Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. She played the same role on Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace played the role of Shannon for two additional episodes of Lost including the series finale. In 2013, she appears in the episode Californianation of the 6th season. She portrays Faith who's a star-gazer and the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Gyllenhaal is a member of her family, and is the older sibling of Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager, she began to work in small roles for her father and appeared in Donnie Darko with her twin brother. Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal won critical praise for both her performances as a lead character in Secretary (2002) which is which is an erotic romantic drama as well as Sherrybaby (2006). She was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award. In 2021, Gyllenhaal has made her scriptwriting and directed debut in the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she received the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
